Typesetters tray with th word ABOUT laying on top, for the blog titled: Add a Simple "Who I Work With" Section to Your About Page

I once watched a new entrepreneur read another coach’s About page out loud on a Zoom call.  She stopped halfway through and said:

“I still can’t tell if she works with someone like me… or with 7‑figure business owners.”

That’s the problem.  If your visitor can’t quickly answer “Is this for me?”, they quietly click away.

And when that happens often enough, search engines notice too.

The “Who I work with” (or “This is for you if…”) section

You don’t need anything complicated. Just a short section that spells out:

  • Where your ideal client is right now
  • What they’re struggling with
  • What they want instead

For example:

Who I work with
I work with new and early‑stage online entrepreneurs who are great at what they do but feel invisible online. Most of my clients are trying to get their first consistent clients, figure out how to explain what they do clearly, and make sure their website actually helps them show up in search. If you’re building your online business and want your content to be findable by the people already looking for help, you’re in the right place.

This small section does three important jobs:

  1. Helps your ideal clients feel seen
  2. Gently filters out the people you’re not a fit for
  3. Gives search engines more context about who your content is for

How to write your own version

Use this simple prompt:

“I work with [who you work with] who are [their situation or stage]. They’re usually struggling with [main problems] and want [main outcomes]. If that’s you, you’re in the right place.”

Place it somewhere in the first half of your About page so people don’t have to dig to figure out if you’re for them.
